Yes. ohtodo has a native Android app that signs in with the same email code as the web app and delivers proper push notifications - due reminders and a ping when a task is assigned to you - so things don't slip.
ohtodo stays a private hosted service - there is no self-hosting. Your data is kept secure, and it is fully yours: a complete export of everything you've created, or a full and permanent deletion of your account and data, is available on request by contacting us. These are handled personally rather than through an automated button.
